Some thoughts from the artist:

This piece. Dang! It was a doozy. My Inner Critic was *excruciatingly* LOUD during the process of painting this piece. It kept telling me:
I couldn't do it
I shouldn't do it
There was no significance in painting blue jugs
I am wasting paint and a canvas
It is a meaningless/worthless pursuit
I won't succeed (on repeat)

When I was in college I shaved my head (twice) because I needed to remind myself where my worth, beauty, and value came from. This piece was a similar exercise for me - reminding me of my skill, talent, and that I paint best when I paint for myself, tuning out all critical and exterior voices.

These jugs helped remind me of how expansive and dynamic I am. It reminded me that I am the Universe in captivating, beautiful, and ecstatic motion.

Funny how the ordinary and mundane can have such a profound impact.
