Some thoughts from the artist:
This piece draws me entirely. The way the storm is building and ominous, how the sea, having no color of its own, is simply reflecting the atmosphere around it - I couldn't tear myself away from it.
As I began to paint this canvas, I started to meditate on how I as a human, made up of water, reflect the world around me. Is the storm that is so vibrant and fierce inside of me, simply a reflection of the emotional storm that surrounds me in the world around me?
As an Empath and a person who's intuition is off the charts, how much of what I feel inside of me is of me? How much is me reflecting back, like a mirror, that which I am absorbing from those around me? Or is it a symbiotic relationship I have with the world? The lines being blurred between who is reflecting who; sky or sea - where does the storm begin? Where does one stop and the other start?
There's a fear storm inside of me. It ebbs and flows. Where do I begin and the world around me end?
